Living a ‘good life’ means more than just happiness! In this video series I’ve selected from 101 keywords and discuss how each word can impact your potential to live a more happy, flourishing and prosperous personal and work life.

This is keyword #010 – Aspiration

You are an aspirational goal seeking human being.

The significance of this statement is often overlooked.  If you are not consciously aspiring to be the person you need to be to live a happy, flourishing and prosperous life, or aspiring to acquire things in your life (the things that money can and can’t buy), there will be an aspirational gap in your sense of self worth.

Intentional aspirational goals are goals that have an underlying intention to help you help other people in your life roles.

While some people believe in fate and that life will deliver what it delivers anyway, you have the choice to influence what happens to you.

Of course you won’t be able to influence everything that happens to you (some stuff in life just happens and you have nothing to do with it at all), but by setting intentional aspirational goals and taking intentional action, you are at the very least deciding to do something about creating the best opportunities for you to live a happy, flourishing and prosperous life.
