Living a ‘good life’ means more than just happiness! In this video series I’ve selected from 101 keywords and discuss how each word can impact your potential to live a more happy, flourishing and prosperous personal and work life.

This is keyword #043 – Enthusiasm

What does it take to have genuine enthusiasm — not false or shallow positivity, but genuine enthusiasm?

There are two things you require.

The first is a strong and positive sense of self — your self belief or your truth about you needs to be something you’re proud of.  This is about your strength of character and you continually working on being the person you need to be and to be doing the things you need to be doing to live a happy, flourishing and prosperous life.

The second component of what it takes to have genuine enthusiasm, is to have an unwavering belief that when you do what you do in life that you are somehow contributing value to others — that you have a bigger WHY or an intention to in some way improve the lives of others you meet within your various life roles.

Defining your intention for each life role is one of the inescapable truths for a prosperous life, and as you define your intention, and follow through with intentional action, you will build your personal enthusiasm to do the things you need to do and to become the person you need to be to live a happy, flourishing and prosperous life.

There’s something very infectious about enthusiasm, and I believe this quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson sums the message for today up perfectly…..he says….

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
